What can I do with a degree in construction management?
The construction industry is one of the largest components of the U.S. economy, and according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the construction management field is expected to grow 10% through 2028. The scope of construction ranges from single buildings to mega-projects with total costs in the billions of dollars.
The continual changes in the construction industry require construction professionals with a diverse set of skills and knowledge in business management, engineering principles and construction methods and technology. Graduates of the construction management program are in high demand across the industry.
On average, starting salaries in preconstruction, superintendent and project management career paths are over $65,000. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the 2021 median annual salary for construction managers was $108,210.
