Every SIUE student is different and unique. To start your educational journey—and your admission application— select the student type that most closely applies to you.

First-Year Students

This category includes high school seniors, anyone who has graduated from high school, or anyone who has completed the General Educational Development (GED) examination and who has not subsequently attempted college work.

Transfer

This category includes anyone who plans to pursue a baccalaureate degree at SIUE, has attempted college work since high school graduation, and has not previously attended SIUE. Students applying for nursing as a second bachelor's degree will need to apply on NursingCAS. (RN-BS applicants, select the option below.)

RN-BS (online)

The RN-BS program is designed for graduates of associate degree and diploma nursing programs. It is offered 100% online in a part-time format to accommodate the needs of working RNs.

Online Bachelor's Degree Programs

This category includes anyone who plans to pursue an online bachelor's degree program.

*Program requires 30+ college credit hours, including college algebra with a grade of C or higher, to be admissible. Students who do not meet these expectations should apply as traditional students to complete prerequisite courses.

Medical Technology (online)

The Bachelor of Liberal Studies medical technology corporate partnership program is designed for associate degree prepared and MLT certified employees of local hospital laboratories. Eligible employees who wish to become prepared to sit for specialist certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists can participate in a fully online and customizable program format designed to meet the needs of working lab professionals.
