Tammy Taylor
With over 28 years of professional experience, Tammy Taylor has been an integral part of both the public and private sectors and held leadership and supervisory positions in each sector. She spent many years in business then transitioned to higher education in 2007, where she currently serves as the Associate Director of the SIUE Career Development Center. In her current role she supervises career counselors, office support staff, and graduate assistants. She also manages the Cooperative Education and Internship Program, which is a centralized internship program that serves hundreds of students each year. Assisting with departmental fiscal, reporting, and management operations are also central to her position.
Tammy’s committee work and volunteer experiences have been extensive. She has served on multiple campus committees ranging from employment search committees to the SIUE Goal #2 Strategic Planning Committee, Student Affairs Assessment and Assurance Council, and several in between. She has also served as Treasurer for 3 organizations, Regional Director for PIIAI, and various other leadership roles in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
