Dr. Jessica DeSpain
Jessica DeSpain teaches courses in nineteenth-century literature and book history at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Her teaching and research interests include transatlantic literary exchange through the form of reprinted books during the nineteenth century, textual studies, and the digital humanities. Dr. DeSpain is also the co-founder of SIUE's Interdisciplinary Research and Informatics Scholarship (IRIS) Center, which offers faculty and students a collaborative, technical meeting space to explore their digital research interests.
