Tara Huntley
Tara Huntley is the Office Support Specialist for both the Department of Political Science, as well as the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature. She received her B.A. in English Literature (with a minor in Women's Studies) from Eastern Illinois University in 2008. Before starting at SIUE in early 2017, she worked primarily as a legal assistant in the field of personal injury law.
A lifelong resident of Edwardsville, Huntley has grown up with SIUE in her blood, beginning with her time at Early Childhood Center in the late 1980's. Her grandfather, David C. Huntley, was chair of the Art & Design Department from 1970-1978, as well as Director of the University Museum until his retirement in 1995, thus becoming Director Emeritus.
In her spare time, Huntley enjoys rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals, the St. Louis Blues, the University of North Carolina Tarheels, and will admit to cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers every now and again. She is also an avid reader and viewer of anything with Audrey Hepburn.
