Bullying
10-11:15 a.m.
Instructors: Mrs. Roy-Thurman
We are reminded daily of the adverse and often catastrophic effects of bullying - both in- person and cyberbullying, when it is not not adequately addressed. We will address the following objectives describe bullying, discuss cyberbullying, explain interventions for bullying, list the risk factors for bullying, and provide resources for parents and officials who may need to participate in targeted intervention. The overarching purpose of our time together is to provide you with knowledge of bullying, its forms and effects upon children and adolescents, as well as ways to prevent it and to support healing. This will be beneficial for parents, victims, advocates, educators, health care professionals, mental health professionals, and concerned citizens, in general.
