Professional Activities:
At the helm of Jim Taylor Inc. (Taylor Roofing Company), Catherine guides the company along the path of excellence that has been recognized by some of the largest roofing products manufacturers in the country (Firestone and Carlisle SynTec), as well as the Southern Illinois Builder’s Association, The St. Louis Business Journal, and the National Association of Women in Construction.
Catherine possesses a Bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville and a MBA from St. Louis University, MO. She was the first woman to be named Outstanding Woman in Construction by Arizona State University’s Department of Construction and the Greater Phoenix Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. She has been recognized by the American Society of Professional Estimators as the 1994 National Estimator of the Year, and as a Fellow Certified Professional Estimator, has completed several terms on the ASPE Board of Trustees.
Jim Taylor Inc. (Taylor Roofing) received the Mississippi Valley Business of the Year for 1998 from the Family Business Forum at Southern Illinois University. This, among other awards and distinctions, just goes to prove that no matter how large or how small the job is, you can always count on Jim Taylor Inc. (Taylor Roofing) to get it done with care and dedication, with our owner leading by example of our commitment to quality in products and services, and fairness in all dealings with customers, suppliers and employees.
Community/Personal Activities
In addition to her professional accolades, Catherine's community service has been acknowledged with the Carl L. Schweinfurth Rotarian of the Year in 2000. She served Rotary International District 6510 as Governor in 2005-06, and remains active with the O’Fallon Sunrise, Illinois Rotary Club. She is also the current vice-chair of the Friends of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Belleville, Illinois.
