Professional Activities:
Jim Mundy was a member of the CLI’s 2005 class. He has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his career as a project engineer in 1992. He joined Contegra Construction in 2016 as a Project Executive and has become the Chief Operating Officer. His leadership and guidance as well as his ability to motivate and create a common vision has played a key role in the company’s growth and success.
Community/Personal Activities
Jim was instrumental in forming the company’s charitable foundation, Contegra Cares, which works to strengthen our community. He is involved in and supports many charitable efforts within our community. As Team Captain, Jim has helped raise over $100,000 for Pedal the Cause in the fight against Cancer. He volunteers his time to help cook dinners for families who travel far from home to get treatment for seriously ill or injured children staying at the Ronald McDonald House. He also donates his time raising funds for KidStruction Week, the Edwardsville Rotary Criterium, local law enforcement, Songs4Soldiers, and the Backstoppers to name a few. He is passionate about giving back to our community and to improve the lives of those who live and work in the areas we build. Jim is also actively involved in SIBA, the local Chamber of Commerce, the Leadership Council Southwestern Illinois, the Edwardsville CEO Program and he volunteers his time to present project management experience and knowledge to students in the Construction Management Program at SIUE.
