Join us for our Southwestern Illinois Trade Mission to Mexico. I invite you to consider participation in this very important event for our region. The ITC is co-managing the program. I will be joining the delegation and assisting participants make positive and long-term connections with Mexican partners, generating more opportunities for southern Illinois goods and services as well as bringing foreign direct investment to our region.
Our mission will be led by the Southwestern Illinois Trade and Investment Council, with the full support of the International Trade Center at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (ITC), the Office of Trade and Investment (OTI) of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Trade mission participants will enjoy private one-on-one meetings with prospective customers and partners, carefully selected with your input. Chambers and Economic Development Groups are also welcome to join us.
This customized program is open to businesses from southern Illinois with an interest in exploring export opportunities for their products and services (all industries and sectors welcome), finding or expanding distribution channels as well as getting first-hand market information and experiencing the business environment in Mexico, the second-largest goods export market for the U.S. and Illinois and the second largest economy in Latin America.
Trade missions are known for being less expensive than exhibiting at a trade show. You may meet fewer prospects; however, during a trade mission, prospects have been carefully targeted and pre-screened, based on their interest in your specific products/services. Consequently, the quality of the meetings you have during a trade mission tend to be far more productive in the long term. Save time/cost and maximize your results!
Services Offered to Participating Companies / Organizations:
Matchmaking
· 2 full days of customized, pre-arranged one-on-one appointments with prospective business partners based on your criteria.
· Detailed information on prospective business partners.
· Meetings and networking opportunities with trade and industry associations.
Export Counseling
· Pre-trip briefings by the International Trade Center at SIUE and OTI networks (online and in-person).
· In-country briefings by host country representatives. One full day of meetings with local experts to answer your specific questions.
· Continuous follow-up assistance to ensure business objectives are met.
Travel and Logistical Support
· Special group rate at five-star hotel (included with breakfast).
· Personal driver and interpreter during each meeting.
· Assistance with shipment of brochures and samples.
Mission Participation Fee: $2,998.00 first participant / $948.00 (additional participants) *
*Airfare, meals (lunches, dinners) not included.
Keep in mind that this mission could qualify for the Illinois State Trade Export Promotion (ISTEP) financial funding offered to small and medium-sized exporters.
