Loen Graceson-Martin
Loen was born in Trinidad – part of the twin Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago. She spent her teenage years in Queens, New York, and is a veteran of the United States Navy. She holds a B.S. in Psychology and a M.S. in Education with a Certificate in Women Studies – all from SIU. Her professional career in higher education has spanned over two decades on both the Carbondale and Edwardsville campuses; in areas of admission, recruitment and retention. Providing resources and services to students to not only facilitate their academic success but to readily assist in making their overall college experience a good one, is something she strives to do with each student she meets.
