About Mrs. Inman
Cindi is a full-time instructor in the Department of Applied Health, program in Nutrition. She began her career as a clinical registered dietitian (RD) in New Orleans, LA. Her interest in sports and athletic performance took her to Texas A&M University to obtain her graduate degree in exercise physiology. While working on her degree, she continued to work as a RD at the hospital in College Station.
After completing her degree, she moved to St. Louis where she did research in lipid metabolism as well as worked as a study coordinator on a beta blocker study in patients with congestive heart failure at the Veterans Administration Hospital. She was later hired at Washington University in St. Louis (Wash U.) to coordinate the Worksite Opportunities for Wellness (WOW) study. While at Wash U she also did research in many different areas of nutrition and exercise for health and wellness.
Cindi came to SIUE in the fall of 2012 and teaches a variety of nutrition and exercise science classes.
