Professor Jianpeng (Jim) Zhou Recognized with ASCE Award

Congratulations to SIUE’s Jianpeng (Jim) Zhou, Ph.D., P.E., on receiving the highly selective 2026 Professional Progress Award from Region 7 of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)! The award honors lifetime contributions of individuals who have made a substantial, ongoing impact to the civil engineering profession throughout their careers. Dr. Zhou has educated civil engineers at SIUE for more than 20 years and served as a role model for leadership and service to the profession. He is most active in ASCE’s Environmental and Water Resources Institute (EWRI), where he was awarded the grade of Fellow in 2017. Region 7 of ASCE comprises member sections in seven states of the Midwest US including SIUE as part of the St. Louis Section of Missouri.
