Illinois Asphalt Paving Association |
The Illinois Asphalt Pavement Association's scholarship program was started in 1984. To date, the program has awarded over 200 scholarships worth more than $500,000. The purpose of the program is to:
Students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering or construction management program at the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana, University of Illinois - Chicago, Bradley University, Lake Land College, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, or Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville are eligible for the program. Applications are coordinated through each respective university. Students selected for award are required to complete a minor research report related to asphalt pavements and are invited to attend IAPA's Annual Conference. |

The Salt Creek Chapter of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers would like to award two scholarships to deserving engineering students during this academic year.
The first is a one-time $2,000 scholarship in memory of Chapter member, Orville L. Meyer, P.E. to a Sophomore, Junior or Senior level student enrolled at an Illinois university in an accredited Civil Engineering program with an interest or concentration in Environmental Engineering. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0. Financial need is not a criterion for selection. The second is a one-time $1 ,000 scholarship to a Sophomore, Junior or Senior level student enrolled at an Illinois university in an accredited engineering program (any specialty). Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0. Again, financial need is not a criterion. |

The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in fields within NSF's mission. The GRFP provides three years of support for the graduate education of individuals who have demonstrated their potential for significant achievements in science and engineering research. The ranks of NSF Fellows include numerous individuals who have made transformative breakthroughs in science and engineering research, many who have become leaders in their chosen careers, and some who have been honored as Nobel laureates. |

The mission of the St. Louis Post of SAME is to provide a forum for all individuals and corporations, both civilian and military, to strengthening their relationships, improve their capabilities, and volunteer their services, all this being for the benefit and readiness of the St. Louis area and for the security and strength of the nation.
Sophomore, Junior, and Senior level college students (as of the fall semester of 2020) are invited to complete and submit the enclosed scholarship application form for consideration by the St. Louis Post SAME Education and Mentoring Committee. Our intended program includes awarding a $2,000 scholarship to a qualifying Senior, a $1,500 scholarship to a qualifying Junior, and a $1,000 scholarship to a qualifying Sophomore. The program may vary depending on the applications received. |

The goal of this scholarship fund is to provide educational assistance to students who are seeking a degree in engineering and show interest in the fire protection field.
