Welcome to SIUE Esports
Esports (short for “Electronic Sports”) officially began at SIUE in 2013, when the “Esports Club'' was recognized as a registered Student Organization by Student Senate. However, competitive and recreational video gaming had been happening for quite some time with several groups meeting informally on-campus. Esports can both enhance the collegiate experience and foster personal and professional development opportunities. SIUE offers competitive and recreational Esports opportunities through a successful Esports Club and a gaming arena on-campus, which opened January 2020.
