Description: Even before the pandemic, faculty have been teaching more online asynchronous courses where there are no online class meetings. Many of us would benefit from peer feedback of our online courses. Recently, we developed a peer evaluation of online instruction method based on models of effective online instruction including Open SUNY Course Quality Review (OSCQR). In this workshop, we will describe the peer observation of online instruction process and share a rating form with effective online teaching practices. This workshop will be valuable for anyone interested in learning more about peer observations of online instruction including Teaching Peer Consultants, faculty who plan to conduct observations of online instruction or any faculty interested in learning more about effective online instruction.
Facilitators: Lynn Bartels (Psychology), Alison Reeves (Educational Leadership), Lindsay Ross-Stewart (Applied Health) and Cathy Santanello (Pharmacy)
When: Tuesday, January 12, 9:00 am -10:30 am
