Stipend Amount: 25% is $300.00 semi-monthly, 50% is $600.00 - $800.00 semi-monthly
Applicants amongst admitted or enrolled students in the SIUE graduate program or cooperative Ph.D. program are encouraged to apply. Although ME major is preferred, other majors may be considered based on the needs of the Department and the application pool. Appointment is on a competitive basis. Generally, a minimum GPA of 3.3 is required, although in some cases 3.0 GPA may be considered.
In the Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, teaching assistantship (TA) and research assistantship (RA) applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Graduate Assistants are provided non-accruable paid sick leave as well as paid bereavement leave as described in the Graduate Assistant Handbook.
