University Housing Facilities Management
University Housing Facilities Management (UHFM) Maintenance Office is responsible for maintaining the safety and comfort of all University Housing facilities. This includes preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance for housing spaces and grounds, snow removal for housing spaces, cleaning common areas and offices, managing pest control, and much more.
University Housing residents must submit maintenance requests for their living spaces or common areas, such as fitness rooms, hallways, or lounges. The UHFM Maintenance Office reviews and processes requests Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. You will receive updates about your request via your SIUE email.
Submit a Routine Maintenance Request
- Connect to campus Wi-Fi or network
- Complete the online form
- Provide details of the request along with a picture (i.e, what needs to be fixed, the location of the request, and when the issues occurred)
Emergencies/After Hours
If you smell gas, experience flooding or encounter any issue that poses immediate danger to people or property, please contact your RA on duty immediately. Contact your residence hall front desk or the Cougar Village Commons to get the RA on duty.
Examples of emergency issues include:
- Overflowing toilet
- No air conditioning in the summer
- No heat in the winter
- No hot water
- Refrigerator not cooling
- Any serious water leak
During Business Hours (7 a.m.-3:30 p.m.): Call University Housing Facilities Management at 618-650-3626.
After hours or for an immediate emergency: Call Campus Police at 618-650-3324 if there is a safety risk.
Emergencies
Contact your RA on duty immediately if you:
- Smell gas
- Experience flooding
- Encounter any issue that poses an immediate danger to people or property

- Laundry: Contact CSC Service Works through the laundry app for machine repairs or clothing damage. If additional services are needed, submit a request to the UHFM Maintenance Office.
- Parking Lot Lights: Contact the UHFM Maintenance Office.
