Living Learning Communities
Living learning communities (LLCs) are for you if you want to live and learn in an academic community with students who have mutual interests and academic goals.
SIUE’s LLCs promote academic success, acclimate students to the University, and connect them with peers who have shared interests.
LLCs bring academics into the living environment by incorporating faculty interaction through our Faculty Fellows program, major-centered programming, and communities focused on interest and academic major. LLCs provide residents with various opportunities for connection and social interaction and create a sense of belonging to both SIUE and their community.
Advantages of LLCs at SIUE
- Enhanced academic and social opportunities
- The chance to form bonds with faculty members outside of the classroom through ongoing interaction
- Opportunity to live with other students who share similar interests and ambitions
- Increased satisfaction with SIUE and the overall college experience
- Creation of lifelong friendships and connections
