INSTRUCTIONS FOR ORIENTING SMART MONITORS
If you are using the SMART monitor in one of our classrooms and you feel the sensitivity of the SMART pen is significantly incorrect, you may attempt to resolve the issue by using these simple steps:

Locate the SMART icon
on the system tray toolbar to the bottom right of your desktop.

Right-click the SMART icon, and select orient from the action list.
**The orient screen comes up and the SMART pen is now ready to be oriented.

Orient the SMART pen by progressing through touching the pen to "bullseye" target on the screen.
**Each time you touch a target, the next target will appear, until you have completed the orientation (4-9 targets).
**Be sure to touch the SMART pen as close to the center of each target as you progress through the process.

The SMART pen should now be oriented and you should experience little to no discrepancy in location when you use the pen. Be sure to test the SMART pen with your normal usage to ensure proper performance.
