What’s New with Respondus Monitor

Respondus Monitor is a fully automated online proctoring solution that works alongside LockDown Browser to help support academic integrity during online exams. Using a student’s webcam, Monitor records the testing session and flags potential concerns, allowing instructors to review key moments rather than watching entire videos.
Recent enhancements make Respondus Monitor more flexible and accurate than ever, including improved sensitivity levels, Respondus Vision for better environment detection, enhanced flagging, and fewer video interruptions for students. Instructors can now allow limited application switching (such as Excel or Word), enable a Show Your Work feature for problem-solving courses, and even choose a screen-only recording option when video isn’t required.
Respondus Monitor also integrates with several major publisher platforms, including McGraw Hill ALEKS , Pearson MyLab & Mastering , WebAssign , and Hawkes Learning , expanding secure testing options across disciplines.
One of the newest security features is Second Camera support, which allows an additional video angle during exams. This added visibility helps deter the use of unapproved resources and provides instructors with greater confidence in online assessments.
