Computer Lab Rules

• ITS computer facilities are open to current SIUE students and employees only.
• Users of ITS computer facilities have no explicit or implicit expectation of privacy.
• You must
  • Be considerate of other lab users -- this is a study area.
  • Pay $0.10 per copy for black-and-white laser printing.
  • Pay $0.50 per copy for color printing (where available).
  • Comply with the Information Technology: Responsible Use Policy at SIU .
  • Comply with the Illinois Computer Crime Prevention Law and the Computing Policies of the Board of Trustees of SIU.
• You may not
  • Bring food or beverages into the lab.
  • Use tobacco in any form.
  • Install, copy, or reconfigure software.
  • Download or save files to the workstation hard drive -- you must provide a portable storage device or save to the shared drive (if provided).
  • Play games or use chat rooms unless assigned by your instructor.
  • Display or print sexually explicit images.
• Failure to follow these rules may result in suspension of lab privileges or other disciplinary action.
