Ashley Chitwood joined the University Marketing and Communications team in January 2011. She assists in creating marketing and advertising campaigns utilizing both digital and traditional methods to enhance the reputation, brand and visibility of SIUE.
Prior to joining SIUE, she worked in the Illinois tourism industry where she gained experience in strategic communications development, planning, project management, advertising, writing, media relations and event planning.
A native of Dieterich, Ill., Ashley earned a bachelor's in speech communication with a concentration in public relations and a master’s in mass communications from SIUE. She truly enjoys working at her alma mater, and is inspired daily by the faculty, staff and students who create the SIUE campus community.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys being with her family, reading, attending concerts and traveling.
