Maddi Deardeuff joined University Marketing and Communications as a marketing specialist in August 2024. In her role, Maddi develops and executes comprehensive communications strategies that align with SIUE’s brand and vision. She collaborates closely with the institution’s various academic units and alumni organizations to create compelling key messages for marketing collateral across various mediums.
A native of Bethalto, Ill. Maddi earned her bachelor’s in mass communications and her master’s in media studies from SIUE. During graduate school, she worked as UMC’s graduate assistant and fell in love with higher education marketing.
Prior to returning to SIUE, Maddi held a position as a social media coordinator for a private university where she served as an expert and resource for writing for the web, developing and maintaining social media campaigns and producing written and video collateral. She also worked in additional marketing and communications roles in the financial services industry.
Outside of SIUE, you can find Maddi wrangling her twin sons alongside her husband, attending concerts, binge-watching series, playing Dungeons & Dragons and taking a nice, cozy nap.
