Monica Venhuizen became a member of the University Marketing and Communications team in August 2014 as a graphic designer. She prides herself upon knowing target audiences and producing clean, creative designs that attract attention to the services offered at SIUE. Her duties consist of attending client meetings and designing promotional materials for multiple departments on campus.
Being a professional graphic designer for more than 10 years, with most of her experience coming from within higher education, Monica is extremely excited about working at SIUE. She graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s in graphic design.
Monica is a native of Morrison, Ill. Outside of the office, Monica can typically be found hiking with her husband, reading or going to concerts. She is an avid animal lover and supports any organization that helps our furry friends.
