Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Archaeology Professor Julie Zimmermann Kooiman, PhD, was featured in the Belleville News-Democrat's summer activities roundup, highlighting a free public hike she led at Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site on June 6.
The three-hour guided hike explores the natural environment of Cahokia Mounds and how it shaped the Mississippian culture. The event was free and open to the public.
