SIUE Forensic Anthropologist Helps Identify Remains Found Near Centralia; Story on WJBD Radio

WJBD Radio reported a Southern Illinois University Edwardsville forensic anthropologist played a key role in solving a decade-old missing persons case in Clinton County. The anthropologist used DNA evidence and dental records to positively identify skeletal remains found off Jolliff Bridge Road northwest of Centralia in 2021of a a Centralia man who had been missing since April 2014.
The remains, a skull and more than 30 bones, were originally discovered by a sheriff's department employee searching for antlers.
