Jared Burns, Operations Manager
What are your job duties at NCERC?
Manage Pilot Plant trials, facility maintenance, inspections and safety.
What is something you enjoy about your job at NCERC?
I get to work with some of the smartest people in the industry and expand my skillset.
What does teamwork look like at your job at NCERC ?
Multiple people with vastly different fields of expertise working together to solve difficult problems.
What is an interesting part of your job that external people may not realize that you do?
I get to be a pipefitter, engineer, electrician, and operator sometimes all in the same day
Without disclosing client information, what has been your favorite project to work on and why? I really enjoyed working on the Ina trials. The client was great to work with and it was my first experience with Hydrolysis and Propagation at the 150L scale.
What do you love most about your career field?
I love that I am part of a team making renewable energy and products more feasible.

Lewis and Clark Community College

Process Technology
What is something you enjoy when outside of work?
I have a hobby farm with Horses and Chickens. I also enjoy woodworking.
