John Caupert, Executive Director
What are your job duties at NCERC?
As Executive Director, I oversee all financial and operational aspects of NCERC.
What is something you enjoy about your job at NCERC?
The fact that with every project we do, we are contributing in a positive way to production agriculture.
What does teamwork look like at your job at NCERC ?
As a small team, everyone wears multiple hats. We don't have the luxury of having unlimited staff, each with backups. Therefore, we're dependent upon each other to get the job done!
What is an interesting part of your job that external people may not realize that you do?
Actively engage with United States Congress and Illinois General Assembly on policy issues impacting the bioeconomy.
Without disclosing client information, what has been your favorite project to work on and why? A current project, in which we have the opportunity to revolutionize a practice which has been in place for decades in CA. The success of this project will lead to the development of a new fuel, while in turn, creating a cleaner, greener California.
What do you love most about your career field?
The dedication and passion people have for our industry.

GYM, GYM, GYM!!!!!!
