Three Women's Volleyball Players Earn Academic All-District
SIUE volleyball players Olivia Hogan(Dyersville, Iowa), Gabi Andrade (Oswego, Ill.) and Ainsley Ranstead (Mahomet, Ill.) have been honored for their academic achievements.
All three players have been named to the 2024 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Team as selected by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Hogan led the team with 244 digs averaging 2.7 digs per set, across 83 sets in 23 matches played this season, with a career-high 22 digs against Murray St. Sept. 13. She has a 3.81 grad point average in Political Science with a Pre-Law minor.
Ranstead led the team with 43 service aces this season, good for third in the OVC. She had a 3.912 grade point average in Business Administration Finance with a Mathematical studies minor.
Andrade had 260 digs on the season along with 70 assists. She had a career-high 11 assists against Southern Indiana Nov. 2. Andrade had a 4.0 grade point average in Master of Public Administration.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-Academic® ballot. Fist-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early January.
