SIUE’s Andy Benoit Throws First Pitch at Cardinals Game as University Celebrates Major Enrollment Gains
Throwing the first pitch at the St. Louis Cardinals home game on Sept. 17 at Busch Stadium is none other than Andy Benoit, EdD, Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Benoit leads SIUE’s enrollment team which is celebrating several accomplishments this fall semester:
- SIUE’s overall enrollment increased by 7.7%
- First-time, first-year student enrollment reached 1,826 compared to 1,534 in 2024, a 19% increase and the second largest total since 2016
- New transfer student enrollment continued to rise to a six-year high of 1,165 students, a 20% increase compared to fall 2024
- Academic programs in the Schools of Nursing, Engineering and Business experienced the largest growth in enrollment
- SIUE is the number one producer of bachelor's degrees in St. Louis and in the Metro East
Benoit has more than 30 years of progressive administrative leadership in the field of enrollment management. He leads the University's efforts to enhance recruitment, admissions, and retention strategies to attract and support a diverse and talented student body.
