As Seen on Socials: SIUE Cougars Fill Main Street at Edwardsville Halloween Parade

Hundreds of students with staff members from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville joined the Halloween fun for the annual Edwardsville Halloween Parade. The Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce has hosted the community parade for more than 100 years. Downtown Edwardsville was filled with Cougars and fans with Eddie the Cougar leading the way.

“The crowd reacted with cheers as we passed, and kids were dressed in costumes, eager to get some candy,” said Jenna Nestor, SIUE Student Body President. “I would say handing out dog treats for the dogs in the community was my favorite part. It was so fun watching people dress their dogs up for the occasion and seeing their surprise when they realized we had treats for them!”
Joining the Student Government were SIUE Athletics, SIUE Student Nurses Association, School of Engineering competitive car clubs Solar Car, Cougar Baja, Formula SAE, Club Sports Bass Masters and more.
