Student Well-Being and Resilience
Well-being is an important aspect of everyone’s lives and is strongly linked to physical health, happiness, and life satisfaction! Well-being integrates both mental and physical wellness, allowing for a more balanced life. SIUE School of Pharmacy is committed to the mental wellness and overall well-being of our pharmacy community.
We recognize that the demands of pharmacy education and work as a health professional can be stressful and challenging at times, but also that high amounts of stress can lead to problems including anxiety and burnout. Sometimes it may be difficult to prioritize self-care. Our hope is that the promotion of Well-Being initiatives offer the SIUE pharmacy community many different opportunities to grow and strengthen wellness, allowing you to become more self-aware and versatile pharmacy professionals.
Feel Good Fridays are events that promote wellness, reduce anxiety, or just provide an outlet to reduce stress and take a break from school/work. Each Feel Good Friday event is hosted by a Student Organization and are scheduled during common hour on the first Friday (typically) of each month.
