Brief Intro/bio:

Though I am new to didactic pharmacy education since starting at SIUE-SOP in Fall 2025, I have been a preceptor in health system pharmacy since 2011. My clinical practice background is in acute care, primarily Internal Medicine, where I spent eleven years as a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist lead on an inpatient primary admission service with the Family Medicine Residency Program. My educational practice background includes serving as an APPE Acute Care/Medicine Preceptor, Internal Medicine Preceptor for PGY-1 Pharmacy Residents, and as an Acute Care Clinical Pharmacy Preceptor for Family Medicine Residents. My administrative practice background includes serving as Clinical Pharmacy Manager of a community teaching hospital and as PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency Program Director for ten years. These experiences led me to pursue my new role with SIUE-SOP as full-time faculty as the Assistant Director of Experiential Education, where I am primarily working with IPPE students on rotation selection and coordinating their courses in personal and professional development. Additionally, as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice, I am teaching in other courses including pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacy skills lab, pharmacy management, and post-graduate training preparation.
