Brief Intro/bio

While I have been in pharmacy education and leadership for nearly 30 years, I have been at SIUE for the past 2 years. Prior to moving back to the Midwest where I grew up, I spent many years at University of Washington in Seattle. I have also lived in Colorado, North Carolina, Oregon, and Washington, DC. In my role as department chair at SIUE, I supervise, develop, and mentor the faculty and staff in our department for success and resilience. My practice background is in diabetes care and clinical practice, although my most recent developing interest is in menopause care. At SIUE I teach in a variety of courses, including leadership/management, pharmacotherapeutics, and practice skills. I have spent years in advancing interprofessional education with other health professionals and supervising clinician educators as they precept students in experiential education.
