Definition of Academic Unit - 1A1
An academic unit shall be defined as a department or a unit whose mission is preponderantly teaching and/or research and whose nature either
- reflects the existence of a demonstrably coherent field of knowledge which is likely to endure as such or
- reflects a research capability which is likely to endure and remain useful.
