World University Declaration for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville - 1Q6
SIUE has declared that it is a "World University"--a university which recognizes that it is a part not only of a state community and a national community but also of a global community.
As an appropriate symbol of this declaration, the United Nations flag may be flown on one of the central campus flagpoles along with the National and State flags.
Approved by Chancellor effective 6/10/74
This policy was issued on February 1, 1996, replacing the April 1, 1986 version.
