Student Financial Aid Policies
Guidelines for Student Financial Aid Programs - 4A1
All undergraduate, graduate, and professional students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have the results sent to SIUE to apply and be considered for the Federal Pell Grant, campus-based aid which consists of Federal Work Study and Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), and need and non-need based loans (William D Ford Federal Direct Loan).
The Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) is responsible for determining eligibility, awarding, and delivering need and non-need based financial aid to undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) annually provides financial aid to institutions that are then responsible for awarding these funds to students.
SIUE closely monitors all Federal, State, and institutional regulations, guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure that all awarding procedures and financial aid programs are administered effectively and are compliant.
