Students can register for courses through CougarNet.

Registration Calendar

Please review the recent changes to the registration schedule that have been made in an effort to improve efficiency during high-demand periods.

• Registration dates are staggered based on student populations. 
• Registration opens at 10 a.m. Central Time on each day.
• Fall and Spring registration open in the eleventh week of the respective preceding semester. 
• Summer registration opens the Thursday of the week before Fall register.

Important Update - New Efficiencies for Summer 2026

Improved Efficiencies for Waitlist Management: 

• If you add yourself to the waitlist for a course, you will get an automated email notification when a seat becomes available. Instructions for claiming your seat will be included in the notification.
• Upon receiving the email notification, you will need to take action to claim your seat  by registering for the course in CougarNet.

Summer 2026 and Fall 2026 Registration Calendar

Registration opens at 10 a.m. Central Time.
Register for Summer Session first!

• Thursday, March 26 - Summer registration opens for all students
• Monday, March 30 - Registration opens for:
  • Seniors (90 Earned Hours or Senior with Degree)
  • Premier Registration groups (ACCESS and Military/ROTC)
• Tuesday, March 31 - Registration opens for:
  • Early Access groups
  • Graduate and Doctoral Students
• Thursday, April 2 - Registration opens for:
  • Juniors (60-89 Earned Hours)
• Monday, April 6 - Registration opens for:
  • Sophomores (30-59 Earned Hours)
• Thursday, April 9 - Registration opens for:
  • All Students, including Visiting Students
