5 Ultimate Selfie Spots at SIUE
Posted July 2, 2021
SIUE has over 2,660 beautiful, sprawling acres which makes it one of the largest campuses in Illinois. With the extensive acreage, the surplus of locations to take photos on campus may make it difficult to decide where to go first. We have created a list of five of the ultimate selfie spots on the Edwardsville campus to help make your photo journey easier.
- Sculptures on Campus - Take a picture at one of the numerous sculptures created by past and present students. This is a great way to get to know the campus, and see the scenery that surrounds it.
- Red E sculpture - Whether you just got your acceptance letter, or you just earned your SIUE degree, this landmark has become a popular photo spot on campus. After being unveiled in 2019, this monument captures the eyes of many walking onto our campus standing at seven-feet-tall.
- The Gardens at SIUE - The Gardens at SIUE has many photo op locations, like Turtle Pond or the trails.
- Cougar Statue - Situated in the middle of the SIUE campus, students and faculty pass the striking bronze Cougar Statue on their walks through campus daily. Our Cougar Statue has even participated in helping the fight against COVID-19 by wearing a custom SIUE facemask. Go Cougars!
- SIUE Entrance Signs - Taking an image at one of the entrances leading into SIUE is an absolute must. Whether you are a residential student or commute to campus, we would love to see you showing off your SIUE pride! After all, SIUE pride is contagious.
If you participate in capturing any photos from the locations listed above, tag SIUE in those images.
