Posted September 10, 2021
Make the most out of your college experience by getting to know the city where SIUE is located. After all, this place will be your home for the next few years!
SIUE is located in the growing city of Edwardsville, Ill., and enrolls more than 13,000 students per year. The students who attend our school understand what makes this city and the surrounding area so great. Let’s take notice of a few reasons...
Every Saturday morning from May through mid-October, people from all over visit the Land of Goshen Community Market. Held in the center of Edwardsville at 100 St. Louis Street, the community is invited to shop for a variety of local fruits, vegetables, and lots of other handmade and local goods.
Attention foodies! What are you in the mood for...Italian, Mexican, Chinese, American, Indian? The list goes on and on. Students can get a taste of whatever they are craving in Edwardsville.
Community service is at the heart of SIUE, and there are multiple places in Edwardsville where students can volunteer, including the Metro East Humane Society, The Glen-Ed Food Pantry, Restore Decor, and many more.
The City of Edwardsville is second to none...volunteer opportunities, local markets, hip coffee shops, and new businesses constantly being built. Being a part of a growing community is nothing short of rewarding.
Don’t just take my word for it. Schedule a visit to Edwardsville soon and find out for yourself what makes our city so great!
