Welcome to SIUE! Many students tell us they knew on their first visit that SIUE would be their new home. The combination of high-quality academic programs, state-of-the-art facilities, and welcoming campus community make SIUE a wonderful place to be.
This self-guided walking tour will give you the opportunity to experience our beautiful campus first hand. We encourage you to visit tour stops in the order presented.

Lovejoy Library (3) is a great place to study for an exam or gather research for an assignment. Information Technology Services is located in the lower level.
Would you like to “check it out?” Feel free to enter the library from the main entrance off of the Quad, walk through and exit via the north doors to get to the next stop.
Before proceeding to the next tour stop, take a minute to refer to your map. Founders Hall and Alumni Hall are two additional classroom buildings:
On your way to the next stop, you will walk across a red bridge. This bridge crosses over one of the many biking/running/walking trails (G) which connect to the Madison County Trails.
Fun fact: Students can check out bikes through our popular Bike Share Program.
The Vadalabene Center (4) is home to Intercollegiate Athletics. SIUE is an NCAA Division I member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC), as well as the Mid-American Conference (MAC) as affiliate members in the sports of men’s soccer and wrestling. The Departments of Accounting and Computer Management and Information Systems are
housed here, as well.
The primary hub for Campus Recreation, the Student Fitness Center (H) is connected to the Vadalabene Center. Student memberships are free. Would you like a tour? Stop at the front desk and ask for a tour of the facility.

As you’re walking to the next stop, take a moment to locate Bluff Hall on the map, one of three first-year residence halls. All feature suite-style living with private and shared bedrooms. Deluxe suite bedrooms are available on a limited basis. Please note: Visitors are only allowed in the residence halls during an organized daily campus tour hosted by the Office of Admissions.
The Art and Design Buildings (7) feature a spacious art gallery, studios and critique spaces. Students study drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, graphic design, photography and metals, as well as art history, art therapy and art education. Fun fact: Our unique Sculpture on Campus program gives students the opportunity to design and install large-scale outdoor sculpture throughout campus.
The Student Success Center (8) is all about students...it includes a large student lounge, a computer lab lab, group meeting space and a workout room. It is a central location for critical student resources, including Student Academic Success Services, Accessible Campus Community and Equitable Student Support, Career Development Center, Counseling Services, Health Service, and International Student and Scholar Services.
