Courses Taught: Freshman Seminar (BIOL 111-FS), Introduction to Biological Sciences I (BIOL 150), Evolution (BIOL 327), Survey of Environmental Sciences (ENSC 120), Environmental Health and Waste Management (ENSC 330/BIOL 330), Molecular Toxicology and Pharmacology (ENSC 532, BIOL 436/536), Aquatic Ecotoxicology (ENSC 534/BIOL 434/534), Ecological Risk Assessment (ENSC 535).
Research Interests: Our laboratory focuses on aquatic ecotoxicology, endocrine disruption, genetic ecotoxicology, evolutionary toxicology, an conservation genetics. Current research projects include effects of thyroid hormone modulation on arsenic-induced toxicity in fish; interrelationships between fish community structure, oxidative stress, DNA damage, water quality, and pollution in stream fish; and toxicity of nanoparticles in Planaria and bacteria.
