Professional Tracks
SIUE offers three professional tracks for undergraduate Mass Communications students. Each track builds on a shared foundation in writing, ethics, critical thinking, and media law, then specializes in the skills and knowledge needed for distinct career paths.
Journalism
Students in the Journalism track develop skills in reporting, editing, news production, and digital media across platforms. Coursework emphasizes accuracy, fairness, and storytelling in the public interest.
