Incoming Students
Housing - Please complete the online housing application as soon as possible using the link below after formal admittance to SIUE and you receive your SIUE Student ID number.

Exchange students who come to SIUE live at Cougar Village.
Once you receive your SIUE ID number, you must create your e-ID and apply for your housing. Follow the instructions below:
- To create your e-ID, please click here and choose "I want to get an e-ID" - This will generate an e-ID for you and will provide you with a password
- After completing this online form, you will be receiving a postcard in the mail that will be sent to the address you provided on your application. This postcard will give you instructions on how to verify your account (you may not receive this postcard for at least 14 days due to international mail).
- After you receive this postcard, you must follow the instructions on the card to verify your account. If you do not receive the postcard or fail to verify your account within 60 days of creating it, your account will become locked and you will need to contact our ITS department to have it unlocked (help@siue.edu).
- After creating your e-ID, you may complete the housing application. Please click here to access the housing application. *For application purposes, the class status of undergraduate exchange students is "upper-class or transfer students"
- Payment of your housing deposit must be done on Flywire https://siue.flywire.com. A $125 application payment is required to submit your application. $50 is a non-refundable housing application fee and $75 is the housing damage deposit.
- Students may enter the United States up to thirty days before the beginning of the term. The University is unable to provide housing accommodations, provide transportation upon arrival, or assist students who arrive before the ideal arrival dates.
- Students must vacate the apartment by noon on the last day of the semester. Students may stay in the United States up to thirty days after the term ends at their own expense, but not in University Housing, unless you obtain special permission from University Housing.
