MSSC and Sev-Rend Recognized with Governor’s World Trade Month Proclamations

The ITC congratulates MSSC, LLC and Sev-Rend Corporation for their continued commitment to growing their businesses internationally. As Illinois celebrated May as World Trade Month, Trevor Lawson, representing the Illinois Office of Trade and Investment, visited their respective Collinsville headquarters to present them with the Governor’s proclamations for their export achievements.
MSSC’s stenciling and ink products can be found all over the world. Exports now contribute to nearly 25% of their total sales. Michael Strope, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, recently traveled with ITC Director Silvia Torres Bowman to Santiago, Chile and Lima Perú to participate in a trade mission sponsored by the ITC and the Southwest Illinois Trade and Investment Council. “A huge thank you to the International Trade Center at SIUE. They have supported MSSC throughout the years and we would not be exporting to this level without their help.”
Celebrating more than 25 years in business, Sev-Rend Corporation is a leading supplier of high-performance packaging for form-fill-seal operations, servicing the produce, meat, seafood, and deli industries. Sev-Rend has experienced heightened success through participation in international trade shows supported by the State of Illinois and their use of valuable resources through the ITC at SIUE’s Network. Sev-Rend has been strategic in its expansion and new product development over the past several years. Sev-Rend Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tony O’Driscoll is very appreciative of the assistance received in Illinois. “I’ve worked in small businesses in other parts of the country, and the small business support Illinois provides is absolutely spectacular. It’s been extremely on point, and definitely helps us sell, grow and export.”
