Jo Ann Di Maggio May is a Glen Carbon resident and earned a bachelor’s in business administration from SIUE in 2005, followed by an MBA in 2007.
Jo Ann has a small business background in the restaurant industry. Her brother owns Di Maggio's Pizza in Highland.
Jo Ann was a graduate assistant for the Small Business Development Center at SIUE from August 2005-September 2007. She also has served as an international business consultant for the SBDC’s International Trade Center (ITC). Di Maggio May’s other work experience includes being an assistant manager at Walgreen’s in Edwardsville, a personal banker for US Bank in Belleville and a mortgage default counselor for US Bank in St. Louis.
Marti Wieland, MPA

Marti Wieland is a Jersey County resident and earned bachelor's degrees in psychology and studio art, followed by a master's in public administration and policy analysis, all from SIUE.
Marti has a background in small business, having owned and operated a small business in St. Louis County, Missouri, as well as in Jersey County, Illinois, since 1991. As part of her business, she has mentored other entrepreneurs and enjoys seeing peoples’ ideas turn into realities.
Marti is a U.S. Army veteran, and has also worked for the federal government as a civilian for the Federal Aviation Administration, for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, and has many years of experience working with non-profit organizations and governmental agencies. She has been with SIUE since 2014 and has worked with the Chancellor’s office (Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion) and the Graduate School/Office of Research and Projects prior to coming to the SBDC.
