Electromechanical Energy Conversion Lab
Under the guidance of Dr. Xin Wang
The Electromechanical Energy Conversion Laboratory is equipped with various motors, generators and measurement equipment. The measurement equipment includes tachometers and dynamometers, along with computer assisted electro-mechanical data acquisition systems. It is equipped with various DC generators and motors, AC single and three phase motors and generators, and AC single and three phase transformers, harmonic analyzers, adjustable speed drive inverters and others. All workstations are installed with ANSYS, PowerWorld and MATLAB/Simulink.
Research and development in the Electromechanical Energy Conversion Lab include:
- Advanced AC Motors Control with DSP and FPGA
- Analysis, Modeling and Design of Electric Machinery
Courses in Electromechanical Energy Conversion Lab at SIUE include:
- ECE 341 Electromechanical Energy Conversion
- ECE 445 Power Distribution System
- ECE 446 Power System Analysis
