The Very Large Scale Integrated Design Lab (VLSI)
Under the guidance of Dr. Tim York
The Very Large Scale Integrated Design Lab (VLSI) Lab is a state-of-the-art facility which has 14 workstations, including UNIX stations. A major research tool of the VLSI Lab is provided by Mentor Graphics, it is a program that offers the experienced and new user alike the opportunity to experiment with CAD design in an easy-to-use GUI-based environment. Active research contributes to the excellence of Mentor tools program, which is under continuing development at SIUE.
Research and development in the VLSI Lab:
- Mentor Graphics Tools Development
- Magnetic Fingerprinting
- Digital Hearing Aid
- Audiometric Testing
Research funded by Funded University Research (FUR), Washington University St. Louis, MO
Courses in VLSI at SIUE:
