NEH Summer Stipends - LOI Due July 8 in Kuali Build
Posted May 1, 2024
Discipline(s): Arts and Humanities
Due to the limit on the number of applications allowed by institutions, all SIUE faculty interested in submitting a NEH Summer Stipend proposal for the 2025-2026 award cycle must submit a letter of intent in Kuali Build no later than 4:30pm on Monday, July 8.
About the Program
The NEH Summer Stipend offers faculty members $8,000 to conduct research and produce materials for publication. Awardees work full-time on their projects for two consecutive months. Stipend holders may visit archives or libraries and may hold other research grants supporting the same project during this time.
Summer Stipends support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to scholars and general audiences in the humanities. Recipients usually produce articles, monographs, books, digital materials, archeological site reports, translations, editions and other scholarly resources. Stipends support projects at any stage of development.
Summer Stipends are awarded to individual scholars; organizations are not eligible to apply. Indirect costs are not allowed.
A webinar discussing the program and changes for the upcoming award cycle will be held on May 15 at 1:00pm central. To register for the webinar, click on this link
