This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) provides an anticipated 14 awards to state governments, units of local government, federally recognized Native American Tribal governments, and other designated mental health agencies for a 36-month project.
The PSMHI program supports comprehensive service networks addressing untreated mental illness and substance use at the intersection of mental health, substance use, and justice systems through four core areas: (1) crisis stabilization centers; (2) treatment services; (3) housing access; and (4) electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology modernization, promoting improved public safety and reducing the burden on law enforcement and the justice system.
